Paddington Mothers and Toddlers group
After 48 years Paddington Mothers and Toddlers group is still going. We meet Wednesdays from 9.30 – 11.15am during school term time. The charge is £2.00 per family. At present we have 25 toddlers on the register. This is a parent supervised group therefore, parents are totally responsible for their child whilst on the premises.
When they first arrive they go into the hall for playtime. We have a range of activities including a kitchen area, ride-on toys, climbing equipment, slide, books etc. We also have an area set aside for babies.
Just after 10am we have refreshments and about 11 am we have tidy up time. The toys are put away and this is followed by singing.
Before we break for Christmas we have a party. At about 10 am we go into the church were we sing a few songs and tell the story of Jesus’ birth. After the closing prayer, Father Christmas comes into the church and gives every child a present.
In July (end of Paddington and school year) we make donations to the church and 2 children charities.
We thank you all for your continued prayers.
Maureen and the Team.

The Perfect Companion by Jo Sheringham
|
Maggie has always tried to be her mother’s perfect companion. But isolated by her care, a weekly service at the local cathedral has become her sole escape – though its lofty spires, and the God they point to, have often seemed to soar far above her simple concerns.

Elisabeth Elliot, a Life by Lucy S. R. Austen
|
Elisabeth Elliot (1926–2015) is one of the most widely known Christians of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. After the death of her husband, Jim, and four other missionaries at the hands of Waorani tribesmen in Ecuador, Elliot famously returned to live among the same people who had killed her husband. Her legacy, however, extends far beyond these events. In the years that followed, Elliot became a prolific writer and speaker, touching the lives of countless people around the world.
