Young Disciples and SOS are Back!

We’re so excited to welcome back all our young people as our SOS and YD’s ministry kicks off again this September! After a summer full of sunshine, we can’t wait to hear all about what you’ve been up to.

We’re continuing our journey through the inspiring life of King David—learning from his faith, his failures, and especially about his heart after God. As the year unfolds, we will also explore different aspects of church life, discovering how each part helps us grow in faith and community. Through it all, we will open the Bible together and seek God’s wisdom to guide us through the ups and downs of another school year.

With God taking the lead and His Word as our road map, we’re ready to grow, learn, and support one another every step of the way.

✨ Exciting News!

Our pre-teen group (ages: 10-13) has grown, and we’re looking to start a brand-new group just for them! If you feel called to help and want to know more, please speak to Jan, Raquel, or Gary. We’d love to have you on board as we continue building a space where young hearts can thrive in faith and friendship.

Let’s make this season one of connection, discovery, and faith. See you soon!

Congrats!

Congratulations to all our young people, who received their exams results.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

The Fuse

The Fuse is an evening of praise for those aged 13-30. Hosted at New Lodge Farm, just outside of Carshalton, our hope is that youth and young adults from across South London and Surrey will join as we worship God. Our vision is for young people to be united together, celebrating the goodness of God.

If this sounds like your idea of a great evening, mark the 5th of September 2025 in your diaries. We’ll meet together from 7:30-9:30pm.

The Forge

The Forge is a men’s event, held near Carshalton in Surrey. It’s a chance for us blokes to get together, share food, fun, and even talk to one another!

TF25 will run from 1pm on Saturday 6th Sept 2025, and will end on Sunday 7th at 1pm.

You can camp overnight, or just drop in for the weekend on each day.

It’s open to anyone over the age of 13, but we do ask for there to be a responsible adult around for anyone under 18!

The team come from churches based in the area and we’re running TF25 to show that following Jesus leads to the best life possible!

Back to School

We are in the season of transitions. As we move from summer to autumn, this is the time where children and young people move classes, school, start university or enter the world of work. You may have children and young people transitioning between your own groups and, this year especially, you might be moving from a period of limited face-to-face meetings to more ‘normal’ activities. Transitions can be hard and daunting.

Energize from Urban Saints has put together some resources to help you and your young people not just
survive but thrive in this season. Here are some of them:

Coping with change: Young Minds have produced a great guide to how parents can help children cope with change.

You can download this below or copy

Childline has some helpful advice for those starting a new school, including how to make new friends.

Young Minds have also provided a range of resources to support children and young people with school
transitions.

Youthemployment.org have some helpful tips for
those starting Six-form and College.

If you have young people heading off to University this autumn then Student Linkup is a brilliant way for them to find a church near their campus that can help them to grow and offer support during their time away.
