House group continues to flourish and has continued through 2025. The schedule of programmes is set for the whole year in January so members can know dates beforehand and can plan accordingly. We meet on a Wednesday evening on alternate Wednesdays at 8pm for 1 hour.
We continue to operate hybrid whereby members unable to join in person can attend remotely using zoom and those who want to attend in person are able to do so. We have thus been able to accommodate all needs. This has sometimes presented technical challenges but we have generally been able to overcome them. We have been able to maintain good numbers as a result with average attendance being around 6 out of a membership number of about 9.
We started the book of Galatians in 2024 and this has continued in 2025. A recent study has featured Galatians chapter 5 and life with the spirit and the fruits of the spirit as opposed to life in the flesh and the sinful desires of the flesh. The schedule also includes prayer meetings, holy communion, guest speakers, quiz, open discussions and online studies or online preachers such as the Baptist minister, Charles Stanley. Last year, Jacquie Taylor, our former minister’s wife was our guest speaker and updated us on the Dnipro mission in Ukraine. We also come together annually for a social gathering.
The house group is now into its 18th year and we thank God for His mercy and grace and for sustaining the group. As the bible says, where 2 or more are gathered in His name, His presence is there also. As long as we are 2 or more, we will lift up His name.

Craft Club
Fran, Sue, and Bev lead the Craft Club, which operates more like a warm and welcoming cooperative. This friendly, close-knit group gathers to create beautiful Greeting Cards, share ideas, support one another, and enjoy lively conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, there’s no need to worry—plenty of guidance and encouragement are always available! The creative results are truly delightful, and over the past year, we’ve welcomed several new members. Around half of our attendees are from our Church community, but we still have room for more to join in the fun! We meet on the 2nd and 4th week of the month from 2-4 pm, and we’d love to see you there.

Book Aid
For the last thirty-five years, we have been collecting books from our supporters throughout the UK to supply Bibles and Christian literature to our partners living in areas of the world where books are wanted but not easily found or afforded.
Book Aid’s aim is to make Bibles and Christian Literature available at locally affordable prices for those who long to strengthen their faith through reading the Bible and other Christian literature. To this end, we send books globally to our partner bookshops and well as sell books in the UK. We have distributed over 35 million books to our partners since 1988!
Alan Hiscox will be delivering books to Book Aid in the coming weeks. If you have any Christian books or Bibles you no longer need and wish to donate, please bring them to the church next Sunday. Alan will collect and deliver them to Book Aid.
