SOS and Young Disciples

There will be no SOS and Young Disciples during the month of August, which means that our children and youth will be staying in the main service. Some activity packs will be provided for the younger children. If your child requires an activity pack, please approach Jan Stone.

The Sermon on the Mount

We are taking a pause from the Sermon on the Mount during the month of August. However, if you would like to continue to discover more about the Sermon on the Mount we recommend the Chuck Smith:Study Guide for Sermon on the Mount in the Blue Letter Bible website for you to use in your personal time.

Weekly Church activities during the month

Knit & Natter Group, meets on Monday, 14th and 28th of August between 2-4pm in the Lounge (Parkgate Road entrance). If you would like to join, please speak to Brenda.

Mens Cycling Group. Meets every Tuesday morning for a gentle ride to Abbey Mill’s. If you would like to join please contact Dave Usher, Ed Brown or Chris Poole.

Meeting at the Pub. Join some of the men at The Whispering Moon, Wetherspoons in Wallington at 6 pm, every Tuesday for an evening meal and a proper catch up!

Ladies Contact Club will be held on every other Thursday, 3rd (open evening – see post below) and 17th August in the small hall. Please contact Maureen or Brenda if you would like more information.

The following activities are not happening during the month of August: Paddington’s Toddlers Group, Online Prayer, Leechcroft House Group and Y-Prayers House Group.

Contact Club – Sutton Ladies Steel Band Night

Contact Club is having an open evening on Thursday, 3rd August at 7:30 pm. Everyone is invited to come and listen to the wonderful Sutton Ladies Steel Band. Entrance fee is £3 – coffee and tea will be provided.

The Forge

The Forge is a men’s event, held near Carshalton in Surrey. It’s a chance for us blokes to get together, share food, fun, and even talk to one another!

TF23 will run from 1pm on Saturday 9th Sept 2023, and will end on Sunday 10th at 1pm.

You can camp overnight, or just drop in for the weekend on each day.

It’s open to anyone over the age of 13, but we do ask for there to be a responsible adult around for anyone under 18!

The team come from churches based in the area and we’re running TF23 to show that following Jesus leads to the best life possible!
