Come, I will give you rest

Jan, Winnie, Debbie, Fran, Mary, Danielle and Delsie enjoyed the Y-Pray? Weekend away at King’s Park Conference Centre in Northampton.  The theme of the weekend was ‘Come, I will give you rest’, based on Matthew 11:28.

The speaker was Liz Hall, Deputy Director of the Family Ministries at the Salvation Army.  We enjoyed sessions including wholesome rest, balanced rest and powerful rest.  Liz is passionate about the wisdom of rest, both physical and spiritual.  She shared thoughts, ideas, insights, challenges and ‘the unforced rhythms of Grace’. There was also a self-guided prayer walk, a creative prayer room and creative prayer activities.  Winnie and Emma from St Michael’s Wallington (above back row, left) led worship.

Y-Pray? will be ten years old in 2026!  The weekend is for women of all ages to explore prayer and faith in creative and exciting ways.  We hope more of you will join us next year. Date and location tbc.  Delsie Akaki
