Webber Street – Sunday 11th June

On Sunday 11th June, Dan Burrows from Webber Street – LCM ministries will be visiting WBC. Here is a little information of who Dan is:

Dan is the Team Leader for Webber Street’s day Care Center and has been serving there for a few years. Prior to this, he also served as an LCM missionary for many years. He is looking forward to inspiring and encouraging the Church with a ministry update, stories of lives changed through the Gospel and a Word of teaching.

The Sermon on the Mount

From 25th June we will be starting a new teaching series focusing on the Sermon on the Mount from the gosple of Matthew. We recommend the Chuck Smith:Study Guide for Sermon on the Mount in the Blue Letter Bible website for you to use in your personal time. Use the link provided or click on the buttom bellow.

Weekly Church activities during the month

Knit & Natter Group, meets on Monday, 12th and 26th of June between 2-4pm in the Lounge (Parkgate Road entrance). If you would like to join, please speak to Brenda.

Mens Cycling Group. Meets every Tuesday morning for a gentle ride to Abbey Mill’s. If you would like to join please contact Dave Usher, Ed Brown or Chris Poole.

Meeting at the Pub. Join some of the men at The Whispering Moon, Wetherspoons in Wallington at 6 pm, every Tuesday for an evening meal and a proper catch up!

Paddington’s Toddlers Group. Continues to run every Wednesday Morning, 9:30 to 11:15. If you would like to join please contact Maureen.

Leechcroft Road House Group. Meets every fortnight Wednesday in person or via zoom at 8 p.m. Dates for this month are: 7th and 21st June. Please contact Ben Fabunmi for more information and details on how to access the meeting.

Online Prayer will be held on Thursday 8th and 22nd June at 10:30 a.m. via zoom. Contact Milton Grant or Howard Cole for more information.

Ladies Contact Club will be held on Thursday, 1st and 15th June in the small hall. Please contact Maureen or Brenda if you would like more information.

Craft Club will be held on Thursday 8th and 22nd June between 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

Y-Prayers House Group meets every fortnight Thursday via zoom at 8 p.m. Contact Winnie Essel or Jan Stone for more information.

Pastoral Team

At WBC we have a Pastoral Team. Each team member has a list of our members and friends to support in prayer and to contact from time to time. If you are unsure and would like to know who prays for you, please contact Fran.

Fran, Ed and Bev, Sylvia, Ben and Pat, Brenda, Milton and Richlynd, Howard, Mary and Sandra are on the team.

Remember we have a WBC Monthly Prayer Calendar available. If you would like a hard copy, please ask Fran.

We also have a Prayer Chain (WhatsApp group). If you would like prayer, please speak to or text Fran, Winnie or one of the Leadership Team. If it is for someone else, please ask their permission and check the wording of the message with them first. If you would like to be part of the Prayer Chain, please speak to Fran about being added to the WhatsApp group.

Barn Dance in aid of Christian Aid

This will be taking place on Saturday 17 June from 3.30-6.00pm at Bandon Hill Primary School, Sandy Lane South, Wallington. Admission is £10 for adults and £6.00 for children aged 6 to 16. As there is no parking, please come on foot or by public transport (buses 455, 154 and 157 stop very close by).

Music will be provided by the group, The Footnotes. There will be a book stall, a raffle, a Guess the Number of Pigeon Peas in a Jar competition, and a refreshment stall with a small charge for alcohol and light refreshments.

The deadline for buying tickets is Sunday 13 June. If you are interested please contact Alice Gem via email.
